What does the job as a personal assistant involve? As a personal assistant, you work at the home of a person with a functional variation. There you help with the things in everyday life that many take for granted, such as getting dressed, managing the household, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. You make a big difference and help enable another person's daily life to function. We have clients of different ages and with different functional variations. Your workplace is where the client is located, and the job is both varied and eventful. We believe that contributing each day to help a person live their life as they wish is the most important job in the world. Job Description We are now looking for you to work with our 18-year-old client who lives in central Malmö with his family. The client uses a wheelchair and has an intellectual disability. He needs help with, among other things, transfers, personal hygiene, exercise, assistance with meals, etc. He enjoys being out on walks, swimming, and going on other outings. As an assistant, you are also his voice in social situations when he needs help and support in communicating with others. As an assistant with this client, you work afternoons, evenings, and weekends and provide help both at home and during various activities outside the home. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for you to be engaged, respectful, and attentive. We would like to see that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you could be just the assistant we are looking for. We would like it if you: have a genuine interest in helping others understand and speak Swedish well are playful and social and have experience working with children/young people are a non-smoker are able to swim and can go swimming with the client have a driver's license Other Information Employment Type: Fixed-term employment for the duration of the assistance assignment Scope: Scheduled at approximately 40% and/or substitute work as needed. Working Hours: 3:45 PM–10:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM–5:00 PM / 2:00 PM–10:00 PM on weekends Start Date: Immediately or by agreement We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A criminal record check will be conducted before employment. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to demonstrate that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of a work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
