Description:

Would you like a meaningful job where you make a real difference in someone else's daily life? We are now seeking a calm, engaged, and responsible personal assistant for a child client who lives with their family in Norsborg. About the Client The client has autism, ADHD, and intellectual disability. The client has extensive support needs in daily life and requires a calm, stable, and present assistant who can create security, structure, and a predictable existence. The client has had a surgically created stoma and a PEG through which all tube feeding and medication are administered. Some self-care occurs according to the current self-care plan. The client lacks consequence thinking and has limited risk awareness, which means you need to be attentive and work preventatively to create a safe and secure environment. The client can be outwardly aggressive and sometimes engages in self-harming behaviors, which requires a calm, secure, and professional approach. Communication The client communicates primarily using visual supports (PECS), body language, and occasional English words. As a personal assistant, you need to be attentive, patient, and able to interpret the client's signals and needs. The Client's Daily Life The client currently stays at home and receives personal assistance for most of the day. Sleep issues and anxiety cause the daily rhythm to vary, which means the work can sometimes be both active and unpredictable. In leisure time, the client enjoys: - Playing on iPad and mobile. - Watching TV and YouTube. - Playing video games. - Listening to music. - Going on walks and riding a scooter. We Are Looking for You If You - Are calm, secure, and have great patience. - Are responsible and have good collaboration skills. - Can work with low emotional reactivity and maintain composure even in challenging situations. - Have a genuine interest in working with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities. - Have experience with personal assistance, autism, PEG, stoma, self-care, or challenging behaviors. This is a merit, but we place the greatest emphasis on personal suitability. Working Hours Work shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. The schedule is planned in dialogue with you and adapted as much as possible according to the facility's needs and your circumstances. For example, you might work a morning shift one day and an afternoon shift the next day. What We Offer With us, you get a meaningful job where you become an important part of the client's daily life. You receive thorough onboarding, continuous support, and the opportunity to develop in your role alongside an engaged team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
