We are now seeking a personal assistant who will play an important role and become a meaningful person in our client Nadia's daily life. She lives alternating weeks with her parents and her twin sister. Nadia communicates through spoken words, visual supports, and TAKK signs. Nadia is a spirited and determined girl who knows what she wants, she has a great sense of humor and is affectionate toward those close to her. She particularly enjoys being outdoors, using her wheelchair, swimming, and playing with balls. You will work on an hourly basis as needed when Nadia is with her father, where you will receive individualized training and instruction in all aspects of Nadia's care needs. Daily work consists of assisting with tasks that Nadia cannot do herself. She needs help with food and drink at meals and with personal hygiene. Active and constant supervision is required due to epilepsy and mobility challenges. Nadia also needs help being stimulated through play and exercise. Nadia trains her body every day—partly as a preventive measure to maintain the functions she currently has, but also to help her develop. The Assistant's Role and Experience As a person, you need to be playful, thorough, responsible, attentive, proactive, and positive. It's helpful if you have experience in care or have worked with children before. However, the most important thing is that the personal chemistry works—that you and Nadia connect and that you are willing to learn everything about Nadia and her needs. You need to be flexible regarding work hours sometimes, as our team manages staffing when someone is sick or on leave—we support our client and each other. Desirable Experience Enjoy working with children. Playful and proactive. Speak fluent Swedish. Work Hours / Employment Degree On an hourly basis—additional hours as needed when regular assistants are absent due to illness or vacation. Work hours are scheduled on weekends. Start immediately.
