Personal Assistant

We are looking for personal assistants for one of our members! The member is a woman in her 50s with an acquired brain injury. She uses a wheelchair and has limited communication, and needs help from 1-2 assistants both day and night. You will assist with all personal care, hygiene, dressing, and transfers using lifting equipment. Cleaning, laundry, and cooking are included in your responsibilities. Working hours vary according to a rotating schedule and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. We are looking for female personal assistants of mixed ages who speak Swedish fluently, have a calm demeanor, are empathetic, and have great patience to accommodate the member's pace. If you have training in health and care and/or experience, that is clearly a merit—but personal suitability will be valued most highly. We want you to have good teamwork skills, be responsible, and be driven and engaged in your work. Upon potential employment, we will request an extract from the criminal record register. The Cooperative EMIL is a personal assistance provider that has been active since 1994. We currently have just over 40 members and approximately 250 employees. Our goal is to offer our members a good quality of life with security and safety in their assistance. We focus on our members' integrity, human dignity, and enabling our members to live as independent a life as possible with the help of personal assistance.
