I use a wheelchair following a diving accident. I have had my left leg amputated just above the knee. I need help with personal care, shopping and cooking. Cleaning, laundry and caring for my pets. Mowing the lawn and watering flowers indoors and outdoors. My other interests are sports, video games, and music. I live in a house so there is some miscellaneous repairs and maintenance if something breaks. I need help with transfers, so you should be in good physical condition. Be calm and reliable. Have an understanding of what it means to be a personal assistant. To be my arms and legs. A driver's license is a must. You should be able to work independently, be very flexible and cooperative. Work together with the other assistants. Longer trips may occur. The position involves 24-hour on-call duty with sleeping hours.
