WORK DUTIES
We are now looking for a personal assistant who wants to work with our client, who is just under 80 years old. He lives in a house with his wife. He is social, communicative, and lives within walking distance of train and bus. He uses a wheelchair and needs support in his daily life, and an opportunity to participate in leisure activities when he has the desire and energy. So some days are very busy and other days are quieter. It all depends on the person's condition and the client's needs during the day.
This position involves 20 hours per week, varied weekdays and weekends. The starting point is Järpen. The work involves providing the client with individually adapted support, for example with personal hygiene, transfers, and rehabilitation training, among other things. The work also includes support with everyday household tasks such as simple meal preparation, housework, and activities. Providing opportunities to engage in various leisure interests, including fishing, which has been a major interest for many years. The man enjoys being outdoors very much and is interested in animals and nature and being social, which is seen as a plus if you enjoy these things too. Assistance can be provided varying with single or double staffing, which means you will work independently or with a colleague.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has a positive attitude, is social, confident, and appreciates a way of working that has both order and structure but also is lighthearted and pleasant. It's good if you are flexible and enjoy varying workdays and preferably have both experience and knowledge from care or health services work. It is meritorious if you are trained as a nursing assistant, treatment pedagogue, or equivalent education.
You create security, structure, and laughter in everyday life. We would like to see that you have a knack for building good relationships and feel comfortable providing support in both practical tasks and social settings.
