Jelgavas Paula Bendrupa Primary School invites applications for an EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT position on a permanent basis, full-time.
Job Responsibilities:
assist students with learning, social, and psychological difficulties in implementing the basic education program in general education institutions, to promote improved academic achievement, boost their self-esteem, and ensure successful adaptation in the school environment,
collaborate with subject teachers, class teachers, school support personnel, and management to analyze each student's learning, psychological, and adaptation challenges and determine appropriate methods for addressing them,
provide individual support in understanding learning tasks, paying attention to key terms and vocabulary usage,
work with students to prepare and encourage the use of memory aids during lessons for learning Latvian language content,
collaborate with subject teachers by providing support during lessons and encourage and support students in using the state language,
prepare visual aids for visualizing educational content,
jointly with subject teachers plan work to be completed during lessons – lesson objectives, material to be taught, teaching methods to be used.
Requirements:
education in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Required for Pedagogues and the Procedure for Improving Pedagogues' Professional Competence",
positive, creative, and responsible attitude toward work,
psychological resilience and high communication skills.
