RIGA CITY MUNICIPALITY OUTDOOR SPACES AND MOBILITY DEPARTMENT announces a competition for a vacant position Maintenance Department Support Division SIDEWALK DAILY MAINTENANCE SECTOR LEADER Full-time position for an indefinite period Riga City Municipality's Outdoor Spaces and Mobility Department is the leading municipal institution in the field of traffic, transport (including public transport services) and outdoor lighting. It ensures maintenance, design, and organization of transportation infrastructure facilities; supervision, coordination, and control of city public transport services and commercial passenger transportation; resolution and coordination of traffic organization and traffic safety matters; maintenance and development of the city's public transport system; attraction of investments for implementation of approved concepts; organization of operation, repairs, and management of decorative lighting of Riga City Municipality's outdoor lighting network; maintenance and management of street lighting, traffic lights, and street clocks; technical operation and maintenance of mechanisms; ensuring maintenance of municipal or owned territories; restoration of objects in municipal possession and public use; and implementation of territory improvement projects. We will entrust you with: Planning and coordinating maintenance of publicly accessible territories (sidewalks, streets, parking lots) in Riga's historic center and its protection zone (snow removal, de-icing material application, de-icing material collection). Informing responsible employees about the technical condition of vehicles and equipment in the department/sector or necessary repairs/inspections when sector employees report technical problems with vehicles/equipment. Controlling submission of road signs for vehicles at the sector's disposal within specified deadlines. Conducting fuel records for tractors, special (municipal) equipment and other machinery, preparing and submitting reports (route logs, road signs, and summary reports) to responsible structural units. Ensuring and controlling preparation and signing of sector document drafts, preparing responses to physical and legal persons on matters within the department and sector's competence. Ensuring preparation of technical specifications necessary for procurement activities. We expect: At least secondary education or level 1 higher education. State language proficiency at the highest level. Skills in working with office equipment and MS Office software, especially Excel, and internet browsers. Knowledge and understanding of document management. Good communication, business communication, analytical skills, and organizational abilities. Desired: driver's license, category B.
