Registration No. 90000012827, Daugavas Street 29, Mārupe, Mārupes Municipality, LV-2167 Mārupes Municipality Real Estate Management invites applications for Head of Construction Department (permanent position) Main duties of the position: Plan and manage the Construction Department's operations, including coordinating the work of building engineers, project managers, energy managers, and landscape architects; manage, supervise, and control all matters related to the construction sector in the Municipality; plan, manage, and supervise the Municipality's construction project planning, design, construction, and commissioning processes in accordance with requirements of construction regulations; represent the Municipality as the client during project implementation at both design meetings and construction site meetings; manage complex non-standard projects and solve non-standard engineering and technical problems; develop design assignments, technical specifications, participate in procurement commissions, and monitor the execution of concluded contracts; perform regular project progress monitoring and evaluation; participate in the development of construction projects (including planning, review, and coordination); monitor the execution of procurement and investment plans in accordance with the department's competence; ability to independently plan and organize the execution of own work and the Construction Department's work within specified deadlines. Position requirements and necessary knowledge: Second-level professional higher education, preferably in construction or related engineering study programs; preferred 3 years of work experience in a management position related to the construction sector; preferred work experience in a management position in the state or municipal sector; orientation toward development, ability to make decisions by evaluating information and taking responsibility; good strategic planning, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills; ability to manage and organize team work to ensure achievement of set objectives; understanding and knowledge of the Municipality's work specifics and ability to navigate regulatory acts governing construction; excellent reputation; excellent skills in working with information technology, including MS Office applications; knowledge of the state language at an advanced level in accordance with the State Language Law requirements; good communication skills; preferred Category B driver's license. We offer: Interesting, dynamic, and responsible work; monthly salary starting from EUR 2,716.00 to EUR 2,921.00 before tax deduction (depending on professional experience); normal weekly working hours – 40 hours; social guarantees: health insurance, additional vacation, vacation allowance, and other motivating benefits; work location: Mārupes Municipality administrative territory.
