Currently, the Agency invites you to join our team HEAD OF THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DEPARTMENT We will entrust you with: planning, organizing, and managing the work of the International Cooperation Department, ensuring the fulfillment of functions specified in the Agency's charter and the implementation of Riga Municipal Government's international cooperation objectives; planning, coordinating, and implementing Riga Municipal Government's international cooperation with foreign cities, diplomatic missions, international organizations, city cooperation networks, and other partner organizations; coordinating international cooperation matters within the framework of Riga Municipal Government structural units and institutions; ensuring compliance with diplomatic protocol, as well as planning and coordinating the reception of high-level foreign delegations and international visits; managing and coordinating international cooperation projects, initiatives, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of cooperation agreements; participating in work groups and commissions created by the municipal government or officials, as well as the agency, meetings, Riga City Council committee sessions, or Riga City Council sessions. We expect from you: upper secondary education (preferably in political science or international relations); state language proficiency at the highest level; English language proficiency at least at C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Additional EU language knowledge will be considered an advantage; at least 3 years of work experience in a field corresponding to the position's competencies, including management; desirable knowledge of diplomatic protocol; good planning, organizational, and presentation skills; independence in decision-making; accuracy, high sense of responsibility, and ability to delegate tasks; high communication culture and ability to build professional cooperation with state and municipal institutions, foreign cooperation partners, and international organizations. We will provide you with: monthly salary from 2,305 EUR to 2,599 EUR, according to the candidate's experience and knowledge; social guarantees (for example, health insurance after the probation period and annual vacation allowance once per calendar year up to 50% of monthly salary); additional vacation up to 10 working days; interesting, responsible, and diverse work; work location in Riga's historic center, Old Town; remote work opportunities and flexible working hours; modern, ergonomic work environment and knowledgeable, understanding, results-oriented colleagues; professional development opportunities through participation in various training projects.
