Main job responsibilities: lead and ensure the operation of the education institution in accordance with the requirements of regulatory acts governing education in the Republic of Latvia; develop internal regulatory acts of the education institution, ensure the development of the institution's development plan, conduct regular self-evaluation of the institution's work and monitor document compliance; ensure the implementation of state preschool guidelines and preschool education programs; prepare and submit the education institution's budget request and implement the institution's activities within the approved budget; ensure efficient and rational use of the education institution's intellectual, financial, and material resources; ensure proper management of state or municipal immovable property entrusted to the institution; organize the institution's record-keeping, ensure document circulation. Requirements for candidates: education in accordance with requirements specified in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding necessary education and professional qualifications for pedagogues and the procedure for professional development; education in education management is preferred; experience in education management of at least three years within the last five years (work as a director or deputy director of an education institution counts as education management experience; other work if related to education sector management); at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience in general education; state language proficiency in accordance with State Language Law requirements; proficiency in at least one official European Union language at the level necessary for professional activities; practical experience in budget planning and human resources management; experience working with financial resources and cooperation projects; knowledge of education quality management; strategic vision for preschool education development and understanding of innovations in education, including competence-based approach in curriculum; knowledge of education sector regulatory acts and experience in their preparation; excellent interpersonal, communication, and cooperation skills, ability to organize and manage team work, motivate employees; impeccable reputation, high sense of responsibility, accuracy, and ability to resolve problem situations; very good skills in working with information technologies.
