Description:
1 position(s). The new Social Services Act is here and we need more staff! We are a cheerful team that cares about one another and takes great collective responsibility for our work environment. Are you our new colleague who will be the missing puzzle piece? We have a well-developed onboarding program so that all new employees can grow into the role of Family Therapist. We are now seeking you to work with our target group of young people. We look forward to your application! We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. Your Role with Us As a family therapist, you work with psychosocial change efforts together with children, youth, their families, and other important people in the family's life. The work is carried out through qualified family conversations in various constellations and through various family interventions. As a youth counselor, you meet with the young person individually and in family conversations with the aim of motivating and being involved in the family's need for change. This takes place in Parkstad Open Care's facilities, in families' homes, or other locations. Our work is always based on a systemic perspective. The work therefore requires close collaboration with our colleagues in the authority unit that approves the intervention for the child and/or young person. As a family therapist/youth counselor, you will work primarily based on a treatment model called IHF (Intensive Home-Based Family Treatment). This is a manual-based and evaluated method that addresses families with complex challenges, with the goal of allowing the child or young person to remain at home. The youth counselor will be part of an IHF-team (Intensive Home-Based Family Work). A complete treatment team consisting of a coordinator, family therapists, and youth counselors is available to the family. The goal of IHF is to break negative patterns and exclusion and instead increase factors such as closeness, participation, and responsibility. IHF is a multisystemic treatment rooted in both modern attachment psychology and social learning theory. IHF focuses on relationships and behaviors, which aligns well with other treatment children and/or young people and families receive at Parkstad Open Care. To succeed with this treatment work, the team will have flexible working hours, which means work time is arranged based on the children/young people's and families' needs. This involves some evening work—for example, at the beginning of a case when motivation work is the focus, there may be more evenings before transitioning to other times. You should be prepared to work 2 evenings per week, but as a therapist you coordinate the schedule together with the rest of the team. You will also be responsible, as a team member, for an on-call phone rotation one week at a time, distributed among team members. The team consists of 7 people, so every 7th week you have on-call duty, to ensure children/young people and families feel supported to continue their change process. You will be given the opportunity for continuous professional development in your work. Who Are We Seeking? We are seeking someone with a degree in social work or another university/college education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant. It is advantageous if you have further training in family therapy and/or experience and training in intensive home-based family treatment (IHF). Further, several years of experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, parents, and families is required. You have a strong ability to build alliances with young people and master various behavior-focused interventions. You must have a Class B driver's license to easily move around the municipality. Since communication and documentation are a large part of your work, good Swedish in speech and writing is required. Of course, you have computer skills and handle the Office suite in your daily work. You have good knowledge of various documentation systems and knowledge of Journal Digital. We seek someone with openness to change and a willingness to meet others' perspectives with curiosity and respect—we see this as a success concept. We want you to have a salutogenic approach and a willingness for flexible solutions, and to base your work on the system in which families find themselves. Work at Parkstad Open Care requires that you are skilled at using your own resources within given frameworks to achieve the best results. To succeed in the position, you have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and acknowledge and reward others' contributions. The ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, is a prerequisite for this work. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. We place great importance on your ability to work independently while also cooperating with others, being flexible and structured, with knowledge/experience in driving change processes in clearly defined treatment assignments. Upon a job offer, you must provide a police background check according to current legislation.
