The City Environment Administration holds overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility. We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The Administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 1,000 people work at the Administration.

Job Responsibilities
Our Green Operations area works with the maintenance and upkeep of the city's parks, playgrounds, street trees, green spaces, etc. We also maintain outdoor environments at schools, care facilities, and cultural properties. As a Park Worker in our units, you will have the opportunity to work with varied environments and tasks in Gothenburg's parks and green areas. The work involves maintenance and upkeep of parks, playgrounds, street trees, green spaces, etc. Your tasks will primarily be to perform regular maintenance work such as planting, watering, pruning, hedge trimming, weed control, and minor improvement projects. We also carry out plantings within projects and participate in operational inspections. Green Operations consists of four units, and we are seeking Park Workers for all units. Your position may be shared or moved between the units. The work is independent and varied—you will achieve desired results through initiative and collaboration. Your assignment may also include participating in our winter preparedness efforts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a high school diploma complemented by at least one year of horticultural education. Experience and training in chainsaw operation (AB), brush cutter, boom lift, wheel loader, and road safety are merits. A valid driver's license (category B) is required. Operating a tractor with trailer may be part of the assignment. You should have good knowledge of plants, and it is a merit if you have experience with larger planting projects and associated construction work. You should have good collaboration skills but also the ability to independently take responsibility for the execution of work tasks. You are someone who can see both the big picture and the details in your work. Please indicate in your application which unit and assignment you prefer!
