Park Maintenance Worker

1 position(s). We are now seeking a park maintenance worker who can perform all types of work tasks related to green space maintenance in the municipality. We look forward to your application! Within the Technical Administration/Facilities, we are responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating the municipality's infrastructure in the form of green spaces, traffic, streets, squares, nature, and embankments, as well as water and sewage supply. Your Role with Us As a park maintenance worker with us, you will work on all types of park maintenance tasks in Kristianstad Municipality, where we provide services to residents and operations in the municipality. You are an ambassador for the city and our activities in our public environments. You will be part of a pleasant work team with varying tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, hedge cutting, planting, weed control, tree felling/pruning, and maintenance. In addition to parks and summer flowers, we also maintain outdoor environments at schools and preschools. You will work as a park maintenance worker but will also come into contact with other people in various labor market policy measures. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who has horticultural education with a focus on green space maintenance or experience in professional work within park and garden maintenance that the employer considers equivalent. It is an asset if you have experience operating trailers, larger ride-on mowers, smaller tractors, or other implement carriers. If you have lift training, education in road work 1.1–1.3, brush saw and chainsaw training, that is also an asset, as is documented experience in plant knowledge and pruning. The work requires computer skills and proficiency with the Office package. You communicate fluently in Swedish; it is an advantage if you can also communicate in English. The position requires a category B driving license for manual transmission, but category BE and C licenses are also preferred. The work involves heavy lifting, which requires good physical condition. You are a flexible, thorough, and service-oriented person with good teamwork skills who can also work independently. You have the ability to follow instructions and adhere to set schedules and deliver results. You work well with people in different contexts and functions and need to have social skills when meeting different people in your work. When offered employment, a certificate from the police criminal record register must be presented before employment. The Board is also tasked with organizing municipal water and sewage supply (VA) and is the road authority for municipal roads.
