DEPUTY MANAGER OF FOREST NURSERY "NORUPE" (in Tīnūži Parish)
We will entrust you with:
- ensuring daily production process management, supervision, and operational coordination of the forest nursery in collaboration with the nursery manager;
- ensuring the cultivation of planting material that meets quality standards in specified and planned volumes;
- supervising the implementation of agrotechnical and plant protection measures, ensuring phytosanitary protection of seedlings and saplings;
- organizing and controlling daily work tasks of seasonal employees, providing training, and ensuring availability of necessary work tools;
- ensuring compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and nature protection requirements in the daily operations of the forest nursery;
- performing evaluation, inventory, and management of cultivated planting material in accordance with regulations and quality requirements;
- preparing reports, summaries, inventory documents, and collecting data on labor costs and material consumption;
- preparing specifications and work assignments for procurement procedures related to forest nursery operations.
We expect you to have:
- secondary professional or higher education in horticulture or forestry;
- at least 1 year of work experience in the specialty and understanding of technological processes for cultivating forest reproductive material;
- knowledge of forest reproductive material pests, diseases, and appropriate plant protection methods;
- professional pesticide applicator certificate for work with class 2 registered plant protection products;
- desirable experience in preparing public procurement documentation and experience working with state institutions;
- skills to plan, organize, and control work tasks of seasonal employees, as well as ability to work in a team;
- Latvian language proficiency at C1 level;
- Category B driver's license.
