At the Department of Otolaryngology, we receive patients for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. Here we have a day surgery unit, access to an operating department, and inpatient beds for children and adults. Within the department, there is an audiology clinic and a sleep and CPAP clinic. We also have a well-functioning exchange program with Skåne University Hospital (SUS) for physicians completing their specialist training. We have advanced sinus surgery in addition to basic surgery, with the possibility of inpatient care. Decision-making paths are short and you always have close access to other specialties. The commute to both Malmö/Lund and beautiful Österlen is a major advantage. DUTIES We are now looking for you to be part of our committed team and contribute your experience, knowledge, and dedication. Here you will work with common tasks for a physician at an ENT clinic, as well as surgical work in both inpatient and day surgery settings. We currently have five specialist physicians. If you have clinical or surgical expertise in any area of ENT, there are good opportunities to continue developing this with us. You work Monday to Friday, and there is no regular on-call duty outside office hours. However, the position includes standby duty A evenings/nights when needed for your own post-operative patients. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is dedicated, responsive, and confident in your professional role with several years of experience. As a senior physician with us, we want you to have a good ability to work independently and clinical skills in the field to be able to mentor less experienced colleagues. In addition, you have the desire to develop operations together with the unit manager and medical director in a patient-safe and efficient manner. We place great emphasis on collaboration and communication skills, as well as the desire to drive operations forward in a positive spirit. With regard to formal qualifications, you are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have specialist competence in otolaryngology with several years of experience. If you have a PhD, it is a merit. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
