We are now seeking a specialist in psychiatry for a senior physician position in psychiatric 24-hour care in Halland with placement in Varberg. About the Position You will serve as a senior physician in 24-hour care and work in close collaboration with other staff and colleagues within the operations. The position involves work across all departments within 24-hour care to contribute to stable and consistent staffing; during the initial six months, work will primarily take place in our dependency ward. The position includes participation in on-call services and consultation work with the somatic clinics at Hallands Hospital. At times, the work may involve you, together with other specialists, contributing to covering vacancies, both with good notice and with short notice, which requires flexibility and adaptability. As a clinic with a clear future focus, supervision is a central part of the assignment. You will mentor junior doctors and AT and ST doctors, which requires engagement in educational matters, an interest in knowledge sharing, and a commitment to developing the next generation of colleagues. Your own professional development is also important and will be planned in dialogue with the medical director. Within psychiatric 24-hour care in Varberg, ten specialists currently work together with several ST doctors and junior doctors. The operations include six care departments: Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PIVA), which has nine care beds and an emergency reception directly adjacent Ward 20, which is a forensic psychiatric class 3 ward with six care beds Ward 21, which is a forensic psychiatric class 2 ward with twelve care beds Ward 22, which is a general psychiatric ward with eight care beds and two user-controlled admission beds Ward 23, which is a psychosis ward with twelve care beds Ward 24, which is a dependency ward with ten care beds In addition, we also operate an ECT clinic and LARO activities in our facilities. Qualifications We are seeking you, a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. You have a broad psychiatric interest and engagement in development and supervision matters. As a person, you are goal-oriented, structured, and confident in your professional role. You have good leadership qualities and a well-developed communication ability that allows you to clearly convey your clinical assessments and decisions. You have a strong clinical foundation to stand on and let your experience guide your work. At the same time, you have an open and unpretentious approach and enjoy collaborating with other professions.
