About the Operation
We are seeking a specialist physician in psychiatry for Borlänge Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, one of Region Dalarna's largest outpatient mental health facilities. Here you will be part of an operation with high medical expertise, excellent collaboration between professions, and a clear focus on patient needs.
The clinic is responsible for general psychiatric outpatient care for approximately 2,000 patients and offers assessment, evaluation, and treatment of a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions. We work with specialist physicians, resident physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and other professionals together to create cohesive, person-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
As a specialist physician with us, you will have a central role in psychiatric care. You are responsible for medical assessments, diagnostics, and treatment, and contribute your specialist expertise to the team's collaborative work.
Job responsibilities include, among other things:
assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of patients in general psychiatric outpatient care
referral assessments and consultations
participation in multiprofessional treatment conferences
supervision of AT-, BT-, and ST-physicians when needed
collaboration with primary care, municipalities, and other healthcare providers
standard administrative work
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the continued development of the clinic's operations.

Work hours are weekdays 08:00-17:00 with the possibility of flexible hours based on operational needs.

Qualifications
Requirements
Licensed physician with Swedish specialist competence in psychiatry
Good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale
Good computer skills (We work in the Cosmic journal system)
Meritorious
Experience working in general psychiatric outpatient care
Experience in supervision or interest in training younger colleagues
Interest in operations development and improvement work
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is confident in your specialist role and wants to contribute to an operation where collaboration and patient focus are at the center. You have good clinical judgment, are communicative, and enjoy working together with different professions. You are flexible, take responsibility, and want to contribute to both medical quality and a good work environment. Great weight will be given to personal suitability.
