We are now seeking a Consultant Physician in Clinical Chemistry for SYNLAB Sverige, where the work will be conducted from our central laboratory in Täby. We are looking for someone who would find it an exciting opportunity to eventually take over medical management responsibility.
Responsibilities
Handling of test results requiring medical comments
Providing support to department staff and conducting training as needed
Participating in the selection of equipment, materials, and in validation/verification of instruments/methods
Participating in external and internal quality assurance activities
Writing and approving relevant documents in the management system
Providing advisory services and training to customers upon request
Supporting the Medical Director with specialist expertise
When needed, assuming medical management responsibility for the department
About You
Since this position is within an accredited operation where great emphasis is placed on standardized procedures, we are looking for someone with:
experience as a specialist physician in Clinical Chemistry
knowledge of, and preferably practical experience with, Swedac regulations and accreditation standards such as ISO 15189
good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations within healthcare
good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
experience with method and technique validation; documented experience implementing, evaluating, and approving new clinical chemistry analytical methods and equipment
scientific competence, such as a doctorate and ongoing research projects
good teaching ability and mentoring experience
experience and interest in operations development and change management, such as previous management roles, project management, or participation in major IT and system implementations
