We also conduct business operations in archaeology, conservation, building preservation and restaurant services. It is where visitors first meet our operations and is the hub for information and service to our guests. As an employee here, you are the museum's public face and your primary task is to make our visitors feel welcome during their visit and want to return to us. Job Duties: We are now seeking additional part-time museum attendants for our museum in Linköping. You will be part of our team working with hospitality and sales. You welcome visitors and provide clear guidance about the museum's content and offerings, as well as work with sales of goods in the museum shop. Booking, ordering, sales and cash handling are included in the position. In addition to hospitality at the reception desk and sales in the museum shop, the following work duties apply: - Cleaning reception and shop - Polishing display cases and preparing/tidying the museum's exhibitions before opening - Greeting visitors at museum events - Support during program activities and conferences The following work duties may be added if interest and competence exist: - Conducting guided tours - Being a museum attendant at the museum's children's parties - Running creative activities and programs for children in our studio As a museum attendant you will collaborate with the museum's other staff. You will primarily work weekends, as well as evenings when the museum has extended hours and evening events. If needed, work on weekdays may also occur. Similarly, work at our museum farms may occur a few times per year. Qualifications: You are welcome to have higher education or university education in tourism and service, teacher or preschool teacher education or other equivalent education that the employer finds equivalent, where the education needs to be started but you do not need to have your degree completed. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting and helping people. You are welcome to be interested in history, art or culture but it is not a requirement. You are a structured and responsible person with a service mindset. Hospitality and flexibility are a natural part of your daily work. Likewise, business acumen and collaboration skills are necessary to perform good work. Good language skills in both Swedish and English are a requirement.
