Laboratory Animal Caretaker

Description:

Fixed-term contract with flexible start date. - Providing basic care for laboratory animals (feeding, watering, housing, cleaning). - Preparing feed from supplied components and monitoring feed quality. - Assisting with veterinary procedures. - Handling animals, capturing them, and preparing them for transport. - Maintaining basic animal hygiene standards, cleaning and disinfecting animal housing, sanitation, basic workplace cleaning, and collecting biological samples. - Monitoring and controlling temperature and humidity levels in housing units and ventilation systems. - Checking the number and health status of animals at the beginning and end of each shift. - Ensuring and inspecting technical equipment designed to prevent animal escapes. - Monitoring and reporting atypical behavioral patterns, observing biological and behavioral manifestations in animals (increased aggression, signs of labor). - Following workplace safety, occupational hygiene, and fire protection regulations. - Work includes weekend shifts (4 hours).
