Ottobock Care in Östersund holds the complete contract for orthotic and prosthetic services and aids within Region Jämtland Härjedalen. We work with all types of orthotic and prosthetic aids and our work is conducted in close collaboration with other healthcare services, including through team cooperation. We have high ambitions to establish ourselves within orthotics and prosthetics and to continue developing our operations. About the Position As a Licensed Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologist with us, you work together with your colleagues to improve the quality of life for people with injuries or functional impairments by enhancing their mobility and independence. We work with all types of orthotic and prosthetic aids, from orthopedic shoes and insoles to orthotics and prosthetics. The foundation of our operations is collaboration with other healthcare professionals and the teamwork conducted within pediatric/adult rehabilitation, prosthetics clinics, foot and ankle injuries, and diabetes foot care teams. Working hours follow a schedule, daytime hours. We have a collective bargaining agreement, which means you are covered by collectively agreed insurance benefits. Business travel may occur. If you are newly graduated from the Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologist program, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year introduction program with us. As an orthotic and prosthetic technologist with us, you may also apply for a position in one of our specialist teams. About You We are looking for someone who is trained and licensed as an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologist. Licensure and a degree from the Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologist program in Jönköping or equivalent is a requirement for your application to be processed. An exception applies if you are newly graduated and have not yet received licensure from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. It is advantageous if you have several years of experience in clinical work within the orthotic and prosthetic field. Other requirements include strong computer skills and awareness of the regulations and procedures that apply when handling patients in healthcare. You are fluent in Swedish both spoken and written, and you have a good command of English. A professional approach to customers, suppliers, and partners is essential in your professional role. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being attentive and respectful and considering the group's best interests. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. At the same time, you adapt easily to new circumstances and can quickly adjust your approach. You see opportunities in change.
