With us, competent and experienced staff work together, consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, ophthalmic nurses, opticians, photographers, physicians, and orthoptists. Every day is characterized by good teamwork, humor, and optimism. Our eye care unit and the departments of ophthalmology at Lund University conduct extensive research both in Malmö and Lund. We are at the forefront in both basic and specialist medical education. In addition to meeting the eye care needs of Malmö and Lund residents, we also provide regional care for Halland, Kronoberg, and Blekinge. At the eye clinic in Malmö, we treat patients with conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. We perform laser treatments, intravitreal injections for various eye conditions, and treat lacrimal duct and eyelid problems. Our patients span all age groups. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are seeking an optician for our eye clinic in Malmö. We offer you exciting work that involves a significant amount of technology and extensive patient contact with both adults and children. As an optician, your responsibilities include taking measurements and performing various eye examinations such as visual field testing, intraocular pressure measurement, photography, and vision testing and refraction. Telephone consultations and work at the eye emergency clinic are also part of your duties. You will work closely with ophthalmologists and other professionals at the clinic. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you are a licensed contact lens optician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is required. We would appreciate if you have a Master's degree in Clinical Optometry.
