The Individual and Family Services department in Eda Municipality works to provide support to children, young people, adults, and families based on their needs. Our mission includes financial assistance, risky substance use and addiction, as well as support for children and families. We work with the individual in focus and strive to offer the right support at the right time through close collaboration both within the municipality and with external partners. We are now seeking an engaged and competent outpatient treatment counselor who wants to help develop our work in comorbidity and addiction. About the Position As an outpatient treatment counselor, you work with individuals who need support related to mental health issues, substance abuse problems, comorbidity, or other social challenges. The work is based on the individual's needs and is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with other services and partners. Your work tasks include: • Individual treatment and motivational conversations • Family support • Group treatment • Relapse prevention work and support in change processes • Collaboration with social workers, healthcare, and other partners • Documentation in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines • Participation in developing the service's outpatient interventions based on the new Social Services Act and the upcoming comorbidity reform We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in people and who believes in every individual's potential for change and development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is: • A social worker, social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, treatment assistant, or has other education that the employer deems equivalent • Professional in your approach and has good collaboration skills • Able to work independently while contributing to the service's shared development • Relationship-building and empathetic • Structured and responsible • Solution-oriented and flexible • Has experience working in substance abuse/addiction, mental health, or comorbidity • Has experience in treatment work • Has good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing • Has a driver's license (Category B) Meritorious Qualifications • Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) • Training in Relapse Prevention (ÅP) • Training in Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) • Training in 12-step treatment • Training in other evidence-based methods • Experience working in outpatient care Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
