About the Activity The diseases we investigate and treat are much more than just "crooked fingers" and we have a clear profile toward clinical research. We have the opportunity to provide our patients with lifelong care characterized by knowledge, security, and compassion. The activity has two clinics, Sahlgrenska Hospital and one at Mölndal Hospital. Rotation between these two outpatient units occurs in the position. At Sahlgrenska there is a rehabilitation bed where we offer patients group training. The clinics are open during daytime Monday-Friday, closed on weekends and public holidays. Once a month we have evening clinics, where two nursing assistants work together with nurses and doctors according to a rotating schedule. During vacation periods and Christmas/New Year as well as certain holidays, the Mölndal unit closes and all clinic activity takes place at Sahlgrenska. Job Duties Work as a nursing assistant in outpatient care involves standard nursing assistant duties and significant responsibility with interesting tasks both practical and administrative. Register referrals for blood work following physician orders and/or according to routine for the medications the patient is taking Update and ensure blood work instructions in the patient record Venipuncture according to referral Assist physician with joint injections and joint aspirations Follow-up telephone conversations according to template, after new medication initiation Matters in 1177, booking of blood work appointments Process physician orders EKG, vital parameters Special tests for rheumatic diseases including saliva measurement and Schirmer test (tear fluid) Lead pool sessions Qualifications and Personal Qualities We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with a few years of experience. Good computer skills and experience working with different computer systems. Venipuncture experience is a requirement. We would appreciate if you have an interest in physical activity, as the work also involves leading patients in pool training. You meet patients with warmth, respect, and a pedagogical approach. You have the ability to see the whole person in a healthcare context and work to promote health by motivating patients toward self-care and increased wellbeing. You thrive in a varying pace and work equally well independently as in a team. You collaborate well with colleagues in different professional roles and have clear and professional communication when meeting patients and their families. You are structured, responsible, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work based on the activity's needs. We see that you are confident, have good empathetic ability, and contribute to a good reception and a developing work environment. What Do We Offer?
