Do you want to work practically with advanced cable systems in a technically demanding environment? We are now seeking a meticulous and quality-conscious operator for an extensive consulting assignment with a leading player in the defense industry.
You will become part of a new End-to-End Cable Center of Excellence that develops, verifies, industrializes, and brings to production advanced cable systems. The team is responsible for the entire product lifecycle – from early concepts and prototypes to verified serial production.
Here you will work in a fast-paced and cross-functional team with short decision paths, significant personal responsibility, and a clear focus on quality, delivery, and technical excellence.
This is a consulting assignment. The role may be subject to security clearance requirements and approved background checks. For certain positions, citizenship requirements may also apply.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As an operator, you work practically with assembly and prototype building of advanced cabling for military vehicles and defense systems. The cable systems must function in very demanding environments and meet high standards for robustness, quality, and reliability.
You work closely with designers, production engineers, quality functions, and other specialists. Through your practical experience and feedback, you contribute to developing both the products and future production processes.
Your main responsibilities
Assemble cabling, connectors, and associated components
Build prototypes based on drawings, instructions, and technical documentation
Provide practical support during verification, testing, and inspection
Inspect completed work and ensure quality requirements are met
Document discrepancies and observations
Provide feedback on design, assembleability, and production documentation
Contribute to improvements in work methods and production processes
Collaborate with other functions during industrialization and production launch
We are looking for you who
Have experience with practical assembly or production work
Are accustomed to working from drawings, instructions, or other technical documentation
Have good manual skills and enjoy precision-demanding tasks
Work in a structured, careful, and quality-conscious manner
Can document your work and report discrepancies
Enjoy collaborating in a cross-functional team
Can communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is a merit if you have
Experience with cable manufacturing, cable assembly, or harness building
Knowledge of crimping, soldering, connector assembly, or electrical testing
Experience with prototype building or work with small series production
Experience from defense, automotive, aerospace, marine, or other advanced manufacturing industries
Worked in operations with high demands for quality, documentation, and traceability
Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar standards
Your Profile
You are practically oriented and have an eye for detail. You take responsibility for the quality of your work and understand the importance of following established instructions and processes. At the same time, you are curious, solution-oriented, and willing to suggest improvements when you see that something can be done better.
Because the operation is in a development phase, you need to be comfortable in an environment where work methods are continuously evolving and where your experience and feedback can have a clear impact.
