OPERATIONAL AREA MANAGER

As we head into the fall season, we are actively seeking an Operational Area Manager for an established industrial company in Norrbotten. The company operates in production, storage, and distribution of societally critical products and is in a continued growth phase.
Here you will become a key person in daily operations with responsibility for an engaged team of approximately 25 employees, with ambition to gradually grow to 30–40 people. This role suits you if you thrive close to operations, appreciate a high pace, and are motivated by creating structure, engagement, and results together with others.
This is an operational leadership role where you make a difference every day – by being present in the operation, making decisions when needed, and creating conditions for both people and the business to succeed.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Operational Area Manager, you are responsible for daily leadership of a team consisting of drivers and operational staff. You ensure that operations run efficiently, safely, and with high quality while leading and developing your employees.
You will work close to operational activities and hold significant responsibility for planning resources, prioritizing correctly, and creating stability even when circumstances change.
The operation is characterized by high demands for safety, quality, and delivery precision, which requires present and clear leadership.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESM Lead, coach, and develop a group of approximately 25 employees.
Take responsibility for staffing, resource planning, and daily operational management.
Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with procedures and regulations.
Create engagement, participation, and a positive work culture.
Handle deviations and make quick decisions when operations require it.
Work actively with monitoring quality, delivery, and productivity.
Drive improvement efforts and develop working methods together with the operation.
WE BELIEVE YOU HAVESeveral years of experience in personnel management.
Worked operationally in an environment where pace varies and quick prioritization is a natural part of daily work.
Experience from industry, process industry, logistics, transport, or staffing.
Good understanding of staffing, work environment, and personnel matters.
Ability to combine a business-oriented approach with genuine interest in people.
IT IS MERITING IF YOU ALSO HAVEExperience as a consultant manager, Business Manager, or similar operational management role.
Academic education in behavioral science, human resources, HR, or psychology.
Experience from operations with shift work or varying production capacity.
Experience with change management and continuous improvement work.
