About the Role As an Operational Internal Auditor & Environmental Coordinator, you will become an important part of our internal audit team. The role combines specialist expertise in FSC/PEFC, certification and traceability with an operational responsibility to plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits at our member companies and facilities throughout Sweden. You will also work partly with the sustainability manager and operations with the task of ensuring compliance, developing common working methods, and contributing to continuous improvements. An important part of the role is to translate standards and regulations into clear, practical, and user-friendly working methods. The role involves both independent work out in operations and administrative work with documentation, analysis, and follow-up. Your Primary Responsibilities Audit & Certification • Plan, coordinate, conduct, and follow up on internal audits at local and central levels • Be responsible for audits at member companies and facilities throughout Sweden • Serve as a central competence resource within FSC and PEFC, with particular focus on Chain of Custody, traceability, and compliance • Review operations against FSC/PEFC and relevant requirements within ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 • Document non-conformities and observations and ensure follow-up of corrective actions • Support operations in preparation for external audits and serve as a contact point with certification bodies Environment, Sustainability & Development • Together with the sustainability manager, contribute to coordinating sustainability and environmental work for the company and member companies • Monitor changes in standards, legislation, and certification requirements and implement these in operations • Contribute to development and management of management systems, processes, routines, and audit methodology • Analyze audit results and identify recurring risks and systematic improvement areas • Contribute to a uniform and systematic approach across the entire organization Support to Operations • Be a pedagogical and operations-focused support to member companies • Train and guide within FSC/PEFC, environment, quality, and relevant regulations • Support operations in non-conformity, incident, and improvement work • Collaborate with member companies, internal functions, authorities, and certification bodies We are Looking for You With: • Good and documented expertise in FSC and/or PEFC, preferably both • Good understanding of Chain of Custody, traceability, and certification requirements • Experience planning and conducting internal and/or external audits • Experience with environmental, quality, sustainability, or compliance work • Ability to interpret standards and regulations and translate them into practical working methods • Experience with documentation, non-conformity management, and systematic improvement work • Good communication skills in Swedish and English • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Sweden Meritorious: • Training or certification in internal auditing • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 • Experience from building materials retail, timber retail, forest/timber industry, or related activities • Experience with group or multisite certification • Experience working with certification bodies and external auditors Who We are Looking For You are structured, analytical, and independent with high integrity and the ability to see both the big picture and details.
