The Intensive and Perioperative Care (IPV) operational area at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö offers anesthesia care, operating room nursing, postoperative care, and intensive care. Here, patients are cared for before, during, and after their operations.
OO is a highly specialized operating unit where operations are conducted throughout the week between 07:00 and 21:30. A wide range of orthopedic procedures are performed, from routine operations to advanced spinal and trauma surgery that is unique to our facility. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of orthopedics, from fracture surgery to elective procedures for both children and adults.

WORK TASKS
As an operating room nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and highly developmental operation!
In this role, you will work in a team with other professional groups to provide patients with the best possible care. It is also important to us to provide our staff with adequate training, which is why we offer you an introduction program tailored to your previous experience and needs. Our goal is to create a good work environment in collaboration with colleagues, and we strive to provide conditions for individual competence development. Great opportunities are available to be involved in further developing the unit's work with the possibility of specialization in our areas of expertise.
You will have the opportunity to work with a customized schedule with scheduled hours, where working time is allocated to days and evenings but not nights. The work includes weekend service, but only after you have completed your introduction and settled into the role.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare and who has further education as an operating room nurse. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. We also view previous experience working in operating rooms as an advantage.
To thrive in this role, it is important that you enjoy working in a team and contribute to effective collaboration even when the pace is high. The work requires that you take personal responsibility and show commitment. You also have good self-awareness and are unpretentious and flexible. Furthermore, you are responsive to both patients and colleagues in your environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
