Job Responsibilities
The flexible service means you work flexibly across the entire clinic and rotate between our three operating units to maintain broad expertise at each unit. You have a base schedule, but as a resource in staffing, you are placed where the need is greatest each day. With us, you get the opportunity to broaden your expertise while being an important part of the team around the patient. You will work closely with nursing assistants, anesthesia nurses, and physicians.

Working Hours
We offer work in our 24-hour operation with a time valuation model of 37 hours per week. Region Västmanland also provides increased compensation for unsociable working hours to nurses, midwives, radiographers, and biomedical analysts.

About the Workplace
The Operating Clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of day surgery are performed at the hospital in Köping. More extensive surgery, both acute and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations consist of general surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms at the clinic, with four rooms in Köping and 18 rooms in Västerås.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a specialist nurse education focusing on surgical care. A requirement for the position is that you have several years of experience as an operating room nurse within acute care. If you have also worked in the Cosmic or Orbit medical record systems, we see that as a merit. Since our work is often governed by documents in Swedish, you need to have good knowledge of the language, both spoken and written.
You are a secure and stable person. We see that you plan and structure your work, as well as that you can quickly reprioritize and adapt to changed circumstances when the situation requires it. You have a good ability to collaborate with others by listening and communicating in a clear and constructive manner.

Permanent position: Full-time
Working hours: Schedule with rotation toward day, evening, night, weekends
Work location: Västerås
We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. The flexible service includes a two-year appointment with an associated salary supplement. Start date by agreement.
