Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four acute care hospitals. Here we provide qualified emergency care around the clock. The operating department operates 24/7 with approximately 70 percent of operations being emergency cases. We perform a wide range of surgical procedures, both long and short operations. The operating department in Helsingborg is divided into three sections: orthopedics, surgery (including vascular surgery), and a section containing ENT, gynecology/obstetrics, urology, maxillofacial, and dental patients. We have just over 130 employees including anesthesia nurses, operating room nurses, nursing assistants, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians. Do you have experience or an interest in being a senior preceptor? We would like to particularly note that one of the positions includes a senior preceptor assignment of 20 percent. We look positively on applicants who wish to contribute to supervision, development, and learning in the operation. In your role as an operating room nurse, you work with pre- and perioperative care. Together with your colleagues, you work to provide the patient with the best possible care with warmth, security, and competence. You also strive to make the patient feel well cared for before and during surgery. As an operating room nurse, you assist in all types of surgery and participate in preparation and follow-up work such as setup and handling of used instruments. In your daily work, you also manage a large amount of medical-technical equipment. As an operating room nurse with us, you have an assignment to a specific section, but with some introduction to all sections. During on-call hours, the workplace is divided into two sections: surgery/general and orthopedics. This means you work in your section but must also be available for emergency procedures in other sections. During nighttime duty, two operating room nurses are on staff and one operating room is staffed, but with readiness for emergency operations. With us you plan your work shifts according to operationally adapted schedule preferences. The work involves day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. We have a working time model based on the number of hours worked during inconvenient hours, and when working during inconvenient hours you receive reduced working time. Orientation is individually adapted based on your previous experience. The department offers four study days per year, annual CPR training, and opportunities for trauma training. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing and authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. It is meritorious if you have experience working in an operating department with a mixed assignment of elective and emergency operations. We also welcome good knowledge of the journal systems Orbit and Melior.
