Operating Room Nurse for Pediatric Surgical Daycare

About the position: Pediatric Surgical Daycare conducts day surgery of planned and acute operations for children between 6 months and up to 15 years old. We receive approximately 2,000 patients per year within urology, surgery, orthopedics, rheumatology, and plastic surgery. Our unit is located in well-adapted facilities in the Q building at Karolinska University Hospital Solna (formerly Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital). Daycare operations staffs three operating rooms five days a week. Between 3–5 patients per day are operated on in each operating room. The unit has its own pre- and postoperative ward and a well-functioning workflow. As an operating room nurse with us, in addition to typical operating room nursing tasks, we offer a job where no two days are the same. The entire team helps each other, and we have close collaboration between our different professions. We're looking for someone who: - Enjoys working in an environment with varying pace and circumstances - Understands your role but considers the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions - Can work independently and take personal responsibility for your professional development and advance it - Works well with other people and relates to them in a responsive and flexible manner.
