Care Assistant for Short-Term Care, Holmsunds Care and Residential Facility

The elderly care services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that, through proximity and collaboration, frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. Holmsunds Care and Residential Facility is centrally located in Holmsund with direct proximity to a health center, pharmacy, and grocery store. We offer excellent outdoor access thanks to balconies and outdoor spaces as well as a shared courtyard. The building has three floors and accommodates 59 apartments. Holmsunds Care and Residential Facility consists of six units: three care and residential departments, a short-term unit, a service housing department, and a care and residential department located in Obbola. Our operations consist of 5 departments in Holmsund and one department in Obbola. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our short-term care unit! Your Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for providing our residents with good, safe, and secure care based on their individual needs. Tasks include assisting with personal care, meals, medication management, activities, and outdoor activities. Under delegation from the responsible nurse, you will perform medical tasks and be responsible for documenting completed interventions, measures, and residents' health status in accordance with current procedures. You contribute to a meaningful and safe daily life through professional work practices and good interaction. As a contact person, you work with the resident's participation and self-determination in focus, and ensure that interventions are carried out with high quality in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans. At our short-term facility, you will work with elderly people who need to stay temporarily for rehabilitation, assessment, or respite care. Here we work in a close team to find the best solutions for each individual. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. About You We are looking for someone with healthcare experience and an interest in rehabilitation work. It is advantageous if you are trained as a nurse assistant or care assistant. It is also positive if you have previously had medication delegation. In order for you to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Your interaction with residents requires good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You demonstrate great commitment to both users and operations in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and resourceful. You have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals. The short-term unit places extra demands on flexibility as rapid changes occur.
