Here are units designed for people with dementia diagnoses, and we are now looking for nursing assistants. As a nursing assistant, you provide support to our elderly based on their individual needs. Your duties include providing personal care and helping ensure that the elderly have a secure and meaningful life. We work in teams together with nursing assistants, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and unit managers. The team also includes quality leaders as well as meal and activity coordinators who actively work to develop and improve the quality of our special residential homes. Your duties also include documentation and contact with relatives. The positions are at 100%. Your profile We are seeking trained nursing assistants and care workers. Previous experience in healthcare and care work is a merit, preferably in dementia care. The work requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills to communicate verbally and in writing with others. You must be able to obtain and maintain delegation to perform healthcare tasks. The team at Lyckavägen is looking for someone with a holistic perspective as we together want to create a common direction throughout our operation. You also need personal maturity to stand firmly in challenging situations. You have an empathetic ability and can understand the elderly person's life situation. Since you will meet both elderly people and their relatives as well as colleagues in your role, you need to be able to work with others to achieve common working methods. The workday can sometimes be different from what was planned since you work with people. In these situations, you remain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks. You are respectful, open in your interactions, and always keep the elderly person's best interests in focus. Since work as a nursing assistant is physically demanding, it is important that you have good mobility and basic physical fitness. About the workplace In a beautiful setting in the village of Tibble, two kilometers outside central Leksand, is the municipality's special residential home Lyckavägen, which opened in December 2021. Lyckavägen consists of four wings with modern standards and several areas for social gathering, both indoors and outdoors. In total, there are eight small units, with only nine residents per unit. At Lyckavägen there are two units with a dementia focus. At the residence, nursing assistants work around the clock to support the elderly. The work is based on the individual's physical, mental, and social needs using a person-centered approach.
