The Social Services Department's mission is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels secure and has equal opportunities in life. With a focus on respecting the individual's right to determine their own life, we are responsible for three important areas: care and elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and assistance to individuals and families. The Workplace
Within the Disability Support Department, there are group homes, day activities, youth residences, and short-term and leisure activities conducted according to the Act on Support and Services (LSS) and relevant decisions for individual service users. The department also has social psychiatric activities conducted according to the Social Services Act (SoL).
Our workplaces are located in Trelleborg city and town center, as well as some activities in the municipality's villages and countryside.

For this position, the target group is category 1 under LSS, which includes people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Your placement will be at Lyckebo, a group home located just outside Trelleborg town center. The easiest way to commute to and from work is by private car.

Job Responsibilities

We work with a coaching leadership style where you receive great trust and opportunities for your own development. You will be an important part of exciting development work at Lyckebo.
As a Care Pedagogue, you report directly to your section manager.
The work involves driving and developing pedagogical activities and being leading in pedagogical matters. A central part is ensuring a systematic approach to user support, interaction, activities, and incidents. The role also includes mapping, coaching, and training various work tasks with residents, and responsibility for implementing and following up on methods and approaches. Furthermore, the assignment involves leading and developing teamwork in the operation and supporting and quality-assuring work with action plans, implementation plans, and documentation. The work also includes contributing to the operation's quality and development work in dialogue with the section manager and staying updated on methods and approaches according to science and proven experience within LSS. Depending on the operation's need for coaching and mapping, working hours may need to be adjusted.
Qualifications
We seek you with several years of professional experience working in care or education with the target group, and leading development and coaching within the disability support field. You can demonstrate development projects/initiatives that you have actively been a leading or contributing part of. You should be well acquainted with the legislation that governs the activities. You have completed Social Pedagogy within the Disability Support Field, 180 credits, or another behaviorally-oriented higher education degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
A valid driver's license (category B) is required.
In addition to formal qualifications, great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
