JOB DUTIES
The short-term residence at Stångehamnsvägen 139 is a home for children and youth with various disabilities ages 0-21. The residence is located in the Kristineberg area and currently has 12 enrolled children and young people. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for providing them with support and guidance. You form a positive team and contribute with qualitative and stimulating activities that promote the children/youth to have a meaningful daily life. The work team you will join consists of 16 people where the unit manager is your closest contact. Cooperation with other units also occurs.
The tasks of a care assistant are based on general care work with associated personal care. This can for example involve tube feeding, transfers, personal hygiene, food intake, etc. We also prepare all meals ourselves at the residence. The task includes documentation in electronic medical records and medical work duties. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, on-call and weekends. The position includes some solo work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a nursing assistant diploma or other education that the employer finds equivalent. It is meriting if you have post-secondary education in the field of disability/psychiatry and/or previous experience working with this target group. You have knowledge of low-affective interaction and TSS (sign language support). A B driver's license is necessary and you communicate clearly in spoken and written Swedish. Basic computer skills are desirable.
