Rasouli Group AB is seeking, on behalf of a private client, a calm, engaged, and responsible care assistant with experience in dementia care. This position is ideal for you if you want to contribute to a meaningful, active, and structured daily life for a person with extensive needs for supervision, guidance, and support. About the Assignment The assignment involves caring for a 67-year-old man living in Helsingborg. He has had a diagnosed frontotemporal dementia (also called frontal lobe dementia) since 2022. The condition has worsened during 2026, and he now requires continuous supervision, guidance, and support in his daily life. Family members have been responsible for his care around the clock up to now. To create a safe and sustainable long-term care solution, Rasouli Group AB is now seeking a care assistant who can primarily work daytime hours. The work is performed in the client's private residence and in connection with activities and errands outside the home. The client is physically mobile and can to some extent eat, shower, dress himself, and use the toilet independently. However, due to his cognitive condition, he needs clear instructions, repeated reminders, supervision, and sometimes practical help to complete various daily tasks safely and hygienically. There may be situations where the client needs help with personal hygiene, toilet use, changing clothes, laundry, and hygiene-related cleaning. You therefore need to be comfortable with close personal care and able to handle such situations calmly, respectfully, and professionally. The client has a strong need for movement and activity and enjoys, among other things, walks as well as riding in cars and using public transportation. He cannot be outdoors alone because he risks getting lost. Job Duties As a care assistant, you will work primarily independently and in close collaboration with the client's family, the coordinating nursing assistant, and other members of the care team. Job duties include, among others: provide the client with continuous supervision and security guide and support the client in various daily tasks assist with toilet use, showering, changing clothes, and other personal hygiene work preventively with regular toilet visits and clear daily routines handle incontinence situations, changing clothes, laundry, and hygiene-related cleaning assist with meals and ensure the client gets enough food and fluids ensure the client does not leave the residence or go out alone accompany on walks, car rides, public transportation, medical appointments, and other activities plan and carry out activities based on the client's condition, interests, and capabilities create structure, calm, and predictability in daily life observe and report changes in the client's health status, behavior, sleep, appetite, and toilet habits follow the client's individual care and implementation plan as well as daily checklists document completed interventions and provide clear handover reports perform simple household tasks that are directly related to care. Any health and medical care tasks, such as medication administration or prescribed training interventions, are performed only after valid instruction, self-care assessment, or individual written delegation from qualified health and medical personnel. Qualifications For this position, you must: have experience working in healthcare, care, personal assistance, or similar activities have experience working with people with dementia, cognitive impairment, or extensive care needs have experience with or be comfortable with personal care be able to communicate in Dari or Pashto have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to communicate with family and care contacts, follow instructions, and document completed interventions. Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is a requirement because these are the languages the client best understands. The language is especially important for personal care, instructions, anxiety, and other situations where safe and clear communication is critical. Formal training as a nursing assistant is not a requirement for this position. It is a merit if you: have care and nursing education or other relevant education have education or experience in dementia diseases, cognitive impairment, or psychiatry have experience with frontotemporal dementia have experience with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia have experience with incontinence issues and structured hygiene work have experience with documentation, implementation plans, and incident reporting have experience with low-affective interaction techniques have a B-class driver's license. You need to understand that behaviors arising from dementia are not intentional. The role requires you to be able to handle anxiety, confusion, repetitive behaviors, and resistance calmly and respectfully without becoming confrontational. Employment Terms Employment Type: The employment begins with a six-month probationary period and then transitions to a permanent position. Scope: Full-time Workplace: The client's private residence in Helsingborg and activities and errands outside the home Work Hours: Primarily daytime hours according to a rotating schedule with shifts in mornings and afternoons. Evening, weekend, or night shifts may occur if needed. Schedule: The schedule is planned in advance together with the client's family and other members of the care team.
