Description The Cultural School is an activity aimed at children and young people aged 6–19 years. Through the Cultural School, children and young people have the opportunity to discover and practice various artistic forms of expression based on a broad definition of culture. The activities are built on voluntary participation and are based on the perspective of children and young people. Participants are offered opportunities through the Cultural School's activities to develop their creative abilities and participate in cultural experiences. Creativity, diversity, and artistic quality characterize the activities. Job Responsibilities As a regional controller with us, you will support the activity manager and the management group of the Cultural School. As management support, you contribute to developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve politically and organizationally set goals. At the same time, you support the management group in streamlining their work with leadership and governance. Your work also includes practical elements such as preparing matters for the management group and handling matters for the committee. Your assignment also involves driving and coordinating processes and change initiatives, as well as following up on and developing activities through systematic quality work. You and the activity manager together represent the Cultural School's management group both within and outside the organization. You are the link between the Cultural School and the central departments and units on matters concerning: Goals, planning, budget, analyses, and follow-up. Cross-departmental common processes and collaboration. Interaction and cooperation between the Cultural School and central departments and units. Together with the departmental controller, you strengthen and support the Cultural School and primary education administration's governance and leadership to ensure that our resources are used appropriately and for the best benefit. Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following qualifications: Academic education equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree (180 credits) in public administration, economics, law, human resources, pedagogy, or another area relevant to the position. Completed training in leadership and/or project/process management. Several years of management experience or several years of experience leading strategic development work at the administrative level. Experience driving and coordinating processes and change initiatives across organizational boundaries. Experience with follow-up and development through systematic quality work. Knowledge of organization, financial management, and resource allocation within the education sector. Knowledge of laws/regulations and collective agreements concerning employer and financial responsibility. Familiarity with laws/regulations and other governance documents at local and national levels relevant to school and activity forms. You are a clear and excellent communicator who can gain support for your thoughts and ideas and influence decisions in a particular direction. You can, through convincing arguments, bring enthusiasm and energy that encourages good performance, teamwork, and increased motivation. You can efficiently identify and analyze the core of a problem and propose possible solutions. You can oversee your area of responsibility and place your own activities' significance in a larger context. You show interest in and collaborate on overarching matters to create added value. You listen to other people to understand their needs. You are motivated by learning new things and developing. You come up with new ideas yourself and take initiative for improvements, actively monitor your professional environment, and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your activities.
