The Open and Early Intervention Department within the Care and Social Services Administration, Uppsala Municipality, has the mission to develop, based on knowledge and evidence, preventative and easily accessible services so that more residents can be offered early support when they need it. You can read more about working as a manager in care and social services at Uppsala Municipality here (https://www.uppsala.se/jobb/vard-halsa-omsorg/chef-vard-omsorg/) Your assignment As one of two Area Managers in the Open and Early Intervention Department, you hold overall responsibility for open services; such as meeting points for seniors and people with mental health challenges, family support, open employment services, and daily support for people with disabilities. You lead work within your area through Operations Managers whom you coordinate, support, and coach in their management roles. Currently, there are 6 Operations Managers within the area. You work closely with your fellow Area Manager colleague and have an important role as a member of the department's management group. You contribute to innovative working methods and welfare technology to continuously improve service quality and be an attractive employer. Your assignment includes: - Leading and developing work within your area through your Operations Managers, whom you support and coach in their management roles - Taking responsibility for your area's results, both in terms of quality and finances - Creating good conditions for participation among service users and staff in developing activities and support - Developing services in accordance with the Social Services Act's intentions Who are you? We seek someone with experience in change management and several years of management experience in care, social services, or social work. You hold a degree from higher education in an area that the employer considers relevant for the position. Given the department's focus and forward-looking direction, it is advantageous if you have a background in care and support services for people with disabilities. You have good knowledge of legislation in the field, a strong ability to use relevant system support, and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. We would like you to have experience managing managers and to have completed leadership training. The following are advantageous: experience working in care and support for people with disabilities, experience with preventative open services, experience working in a politically governed organization.
