RESPONSIBILITIES As a manager leading other managers, you are responsible for your entire operation's results. You create success in your mission through your direct reporting managers, whose leadership you highly value and prioritize to further develop. Together with your management team, you develop the operations. You translate strategy into action, coordinate flows, promote collaboration internally and externally, and lead development and change initiatives long-term with a focus on creating value for those we serve. As area manager for inpatient care, you have overall responsibility for our three care units in Lund and Malmö as well as occupational therapy. The assignment includes responsibility for operations, quality, economics, work environment, competency supply, and strategic development. We are embarking on continued development of our inpatient care with high ambitions within nursing quality, patient safety, sustainable care flows, and a good work environment. You drive the development of new working methods and care models and create conditions for person-centered and cohesive care with high quality. An important part of the assignment is to create sustainable conditions for managers and staff to develop and thrive as well as contribute to long-term sustainable competency supply. You report to the operations manager and are also a member of the operations area's management team and actively contribute to the development of the entire operations area. You work closely with the operations manager, area manager for outpatient care, section managers, and support functions, as well as collaborate with other operations within the hospital and with union representatives. You become part of a management team characterized by engagement, collaboration, and future focus. With us, you get the opportunity to lead a central part of an operation with high ambitions within care, research, and education. Skåne University Hospital works according to the Magnet Model, where person-centered care, professional development, and high quality are at the center. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with higher education or university education within healthcare or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience managing managers and developing management organizations is particularly meritorious, as is leadership training. We would like to see that you have documented experience in change and development work with documented good results as well as experience developing complex patient flows. Experience managing operations with care beds and driving development of working methods, care processes, and teamwork is particularly meritorious. You are a confident and courageous leader who builds trust through clarity, presence, and genuine engagement for both operations and people. You have strong strategic ability and can switch between long-term development work and the operation's daily needs. You are goal- and results-oriented while seeing the importance of participation and collaboration to achieve sustainable results. As a leader, you coach and develop your managers and create conditions for them to succeed in their assignments. You build good relationships, promote collaboration, and have the ability to unite people around common goals.
