About the Position
As an ophthalmologist at the eye clinic in Varberg, you need to have broad expertise in general ophthalmology. Here you will work in a team-based setting together with various professions, such as ophthalmic nurses, nurse assistants, and opticians.
The work includes clinic visits and customary administrative tasks such as medical record documentation, image review, medical certificates, and prescription writing.
We will determine the employment level together, and working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. As an employee in Varberg, you now have the opportunity to participate in on-call duties, as we have a 2-hour response time to our emergency operations in Halmstad.

Eye Clinic Halland has three locations with clinics in Kungsbacka, Halmstad, and Varberg.
Eye Clinic Halland continues to grow, as does our mission to serve Halland's residents within specialized eye care. We need to expand our team to continue providing excellent accessibility for our patients in Halland.
We have highly skilled physicians, ophthalmic nurses, nurse assistants, opticians, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. This contributes to excellent and close relationships between all professional groups, which in turn creates a positive and developmental work environment.

Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is a specialist physician or senior physician and feels confident in your professional role, with several years of experience in general ophthalmology.
To thrive in this role, you need to enjoy working in a team and independently – you consider good patient and colleague interactions to be self-evident. It is therefore important that you are communicative and have strong abilities to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the will and drive to influence development within ophthalmology both in the short and long term.
