About the Position As an ophthalmologist at the eye clinic in Halmstad, you need to have broad expertise in general ophthalmology. Here you will work in a team together with various professions, such as ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. The work includes clinic visits and customary administrative tasks such as medical records, image review, medical certificates, and prescription writing. The degree of employment will be determined together with you, and working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. You will also be part of our on-call line for Halland with some evening and weekend on-call duties with home-based availability. About the Workplace Eye Clinic Halland has three locations with clinics in Kungsbacka, Halmstad, and Varberg. Eye Clinic Halland continues to grow, as does our mission to serve Halland's residents within specialized eye care. We need to expand our team to continue offering high accessibility for our patients in Halland. We have highly skilled physicians, ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. This contributes to a good and close relationship between all professional groups, which in turn creates a positive and developmental work environment. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a specialist physician/senior physician and feel confident in your professional role, with several years of experience in general ophthalmology. Experience in cataract surgery/glaucoma surgery is meriting. To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate both working in a team and independently. You consider it self-evident to provide good treatment to both patients and colleagues; it is therefore important that you are communicative and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. We also see that you have the will and drive to influence the development of ophthalmology both in the short and long term. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
