OBS Manager for Aurora

Are you a leader with a fast pace and commercial focus? We are now recruiting for one of Öresund's most exciting positions on board the M/S Aurora. We are in the midst of a transformation journey, and if you are driven and solution-focused, you will have the opportunity to develop our onboard operations. As OBS Manager, you have ultimate responsibility for onboard service operations on Aurora. This means overall personnel and development responsibility for restaurant/bar, kitchen, shop, café, and housekeeping. In total, you have ultimate responsibility for approximately 80 employees. Your primary work tasks as OBS Manager are: To actively participate in and stay informed about the ship's safety organization Budget and results responsibility for onboard operations Responsibility for safety and environmental work according to Öresundslinjen's goals and guidelines Monitor trends and ensure an attractive range of offerings in each department The position is with ÖRESUNDSLINJEN, with employment on our ferry Aurora, which is based in Helsingborg. You report to the Head of Food & Beverage with a dotted line to the Head of Retail. You are also part of Aurora's ship management, which additionally consists of the Chief Technical Officer and Captain. You have two direct reports and four department managers. You are an action-oriented leader who thrives in an operational environment with high pace and rapid changes. You naturally take ownership of the business and don't wait for someone else to solve the problem—you act, prioritize, and drive current issues to completion. With a strong business focus, you and your team follow up on results, challenge working methods, and take responsibility for continuously developing the operations. You are driven, solution-focused, and have the ability to create engagement and bring people with you. As an employee on board Aurora, you become part of the ship's safety crew, which means you also participate in regular safety drills and safety training, are a proficient swimmer, and in good health. To work on board, a health examination followed by a health certificate is required, as well as safety training—if you don't have this from before, we will arrange it. Since we do not offer accommodation on board, we expect you to live within commuting distance to Helsingborg.
