Nytorpsskolan in Rönninge is a preschool through grade 9 school with approximately 300 students and 45 employees. We are located in the middle of a residential area, close to forest and lake. It is easy to get here by public transport, car, or a pleasant walk from the commuter train. We make frequent use of our beautiful surrounding environment; in our outdoor education and in after-school activities for younger students, and in outdoor and activity days for older students.

Nytorpsskolan is seeking an engaged, experienced, and certified special education teacher with a focus on Swedish language. With us, you will have an important role in creating an accessible learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop according to their abilities.
About the Position
As a special education teacher, you will be responsible for managing the school's Studio for grades 6–9. You will teach students individually and in small instructional groups, and work closely with classroom teachers to create the best conditions for student learning and achievement.
You will be part of the student support team and collaborate daily with school management, special education coordinator, counselor, school psychologist, teachers, and guardians. Together, we work preventively and proactively with the student's best interests in focus.
We Are Looking for Someone Who
is a certified special education teacher with a focus on Swedish language
has experience teaching students needing special support, both individually and in small groups
has strong knowledge of language disorders, dyslexia, neurodevelopmental variations, and other linguistic or cognitive challenges
has experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-affect interaction, and adapted learning environments
uses alternative and digital compensatory tools as a natural part of instruction
has high expectations for student development and sees possibilities rather than obstacles

Your Responsibilities
The position includes, among other things:
planning, implementing, and following up instruction for students needing special support
managing instruction in the school's Studio for grades 6–9
adapting instruction and learning environment based on students' individual needs
using visual supports, time management aids, digital tools, and other compensatory aids
working with classroom teachers on accommodations and special support
documenting, following up, and evaluating student progress
contributing specialized educational expertise to the school's development work
