Job Description
Your main tasks will be to assist in outpatient surgical operations that we conduct here at the clinic in our excellent operating rooms. Work at the reception and administrative tasks are other duties included in the daily work. Before you start working independently, we offer you an individual introduction program and support from experienced colleagues.
Work Team
The Jaw Clinic is part of the Senses Center at Linköping University Hospital. The Jaw Clinic is a relatively small clinic with approximately 35 employees but with a large area of operations within oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and oral medicine. The Jaw Clinic treats patients with diseases in the facial and jaw region or with complicated jaw and facial defects. Other common treatments concern accidents with injuries to the jaws, facial and jaw region, infections, jaw joint diseases and dental operations. We provide county, regional and out-of-county healthcare/dental care. Specialist care and research are conducted at the clinic and the clinic collaborates with other specialties at the plastic surgery, neurosurgery and ear clinics at Linköping University Hospital. The clinic provides specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is responsible for national training of surgical dental hygienists.
About You
You have a dental hygienist degree from qualified vocational training or vocational university. You are interested in further developing yourself toward oral and maxillofacial surgery and are curious about what it means to work in healthcare.
Meritorious is completed training in oral and maxillofacial surgical healthcare for dental hygienists or previous work as a nursing assistant.

You are calm, thorough and accommodating in your approach to patients and colleagues. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and approach, which means you see the possibilities in changes.
