We are looking for you who want to work right now as a personal assistant for a 44-year-old woman in Lund. You will work at Anna's home, located in northern Lund. In this job, you are Anna's support wherever she is and with whatever she needs help with. Who is Anna? Anna has had developmental disabilities since birth. She enjoys listening to music, likes spending time in nature, and enjoys listening to someone read to her. Anna does not communicate through speech but only through emotional expression. Anna lives at home with her parents in a villa. What does the job involve? Anna needs help with all personal hygiene, feeding, and other care. She stands and walks with assistance indoors but sometimes uses a wheelchair outside. She is usually at home but tries to leave for an activity outside the home once a day. This often involves a walk, sometimes physical therapy. Anna also has certain medical conditions. For example, the job includes administering medication and providing certain treatments. How is the work structured? As Anna's assistant, you will be part of a small work team together with a few people who have worked with Anna for many years. During the first week, you will work alongside other assistants and learn what you need to know. After that, you work one-on-one with Anna, but there is the opportunity to contact other experienced assistants as well as a nurse if needed. The entire work team meets every month for coffee, conversation, schedule planning, and sometimes brief training. There is also an opportunity for further training within the position. The work group receives continuous supervision/consultation with a licensed psychotherapist. Employment Terms We offer the possibility of a flexible schedule, as the schedule is arranged at staff meetings based on assistants' preferences as much as possible. Anna has an assistant 24 hours a day, which means you can choose day work, night work, or a combination. We offer employment ranging from 25-100%, according to your preference. Hourly wages with overtime compensation are provided. As the schedule is planned as needed, you can work more hours in certain months and fewer in others if you wish. You work in a small and calm work environment. Anna lives in northern Lund, close to a bus stop. Wellness benefits are included. The position provides occupational pension according to an agreement with FORA. Who are you? For this position, personal suitability is important. You must function well together with Anna. It is important that you are empathetic, flexible, resourceful, and that you can inspire and motivate her. To do this requires both patience and initiative. It is important that you have sufficiently good Swedish to understand instructions regarding medication, etc., both verbally and in writing. The job includes lifting Anna when needed.
