The City Services Department has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and departments in the City of Mölndal. The department has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and facility maintenance, water and recycling, city maintenance, and administration and customer service. The water and recycling operational area works toward a sustainable future by ensuring clean water in both taps and waterways and promoting more sustainable consumption with reduced waste. We do this by developing, maintaining, and improving our operations. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now recruiting more plumbers/construction workers who want to be part of developing and maintaining Mölndal's water and sewage network. As a plumber with us, you will have varied and practical work and you will be an important part of ensuring a functioning water and sewage supply for Mölndal's residents. You will be part of a work team that, among other things, works with pipeline renewal and operational tasks, such as repairing water leaks, clearing sewage blockages, installing inspection chambers, and replacing fire hydrants on the City of Mölndal's water and sewage lines. The work also includes developing the pipe network with new pipelines, valves, and service lines for new construction, as well as restoration of trenches according to the municipality's requirements. Together we work with socially important infrastructure that makes a difference for Mölndal's residents every day. The position may also involve on-call duties. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has education in plumbing/construction or other relevant education and who has experience with construction work and plumbing. You have good knowledge of pipe materials and operation of rotating machinery. You must also have a B driver's license and good ability to communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing. We consider it advantageous if you have training such as Work on Road 1-2-3 and Excavate Safely. It is also advantageous if you have a forklift certificate and/or experience with water and sewage work in municipal operations. You are responsible and self-reliant and enjoy working both independently and with others. You take initiative, solve problems in a constructive way, and contribute to good cooperation in the work group. You are receptive and solution-oriented and always keep the customer's best interests in focus.
