The school has approximately 450 students from preschool class through grade 9. We are a total of about 60 employees, all professional categories included. The school has several lead teachers, and the competence among the staff is high overall and valued by school management. The school is also one of Mid Sweden University's partner schools for its teacher education program. At Nipanskolan, we continuously work with joint competency development initiatives. This year's focus has been on Classroom Leadership, and one of the aims has been to develop collaborative learning, a project that continues in the coming school year. Nipanskolan is a relatively large unit that creates several advantages, including: - strong subject departments with multiple teachers teaching the same subject. - a well-developed student support system with counselors, school nurses, study and career guidance advisors, special education teachers, and access to a school psychologist. - good opportunities for cross-grade collaboration - a well-functioning school library with daily staffing 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Your assignment will be to work together with the school's educators to create a sustainable school day for students and groups with increased support needs. You will work together as a team to create the best possible conditions for our students to succeed at both group and individual levels throughout the school day. You will share your time between students who need closer support and being available for all students during breaks, etc. Please note that questions about the position can only be answered to a limited extent, and only via email during the application period. QUALIFICATIONS Secondary education from the Children and Recreation Program or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent or suitable. Experience with similar assignments is a merit. The position requires that you have a great ability to collaborate with both students and adults, and can easily adapt to changed conditions with short notice.
