NDT Technician for SJ

Now we're taking the next step with Scandinavia's first OFP wheel inspection robot that records measurements for all train types. The wheel inspection robot is located in a brand new wheel lathe facility. This is a unique opportunity to help build entirely new technology and develop cutting-edge maintenance methods. Your upcoming role As an NDT technician, you perform non-destructive testing (NDT) within traffic-critical maintenance, with a focus on inspecting wheels and wheel axles. Through your work, you create optimal conditions for efficient maintenance production and help ensure our trains are safe for operation. We're facing an exciting development with Scandinavia's first OFP wheel inspection robot, which uses ultrasound to inspect wheels. You'll get to help build maintenance at the forefront of technology, where inspection measurements are recorded and analyzed for the highest precision. It's a unique opportunity to work with tomorrow's solutions and oversee the complete NDT process. Responsibilities: Perform NDT inspections within SJ's traffic-critical maintenance. Document and report results according to our processes. Work in the middle of production, close to supervisors to develop, improve, and prevent deviations. Participate in the team's work with managing NDT equipment. Participate in developing work methods and procedures according to SJ regulations. Contribute to developing training materials, NDT maintenance, testing equipment, and participate in internal and external audits. Participate in maintaining testing equipment. Expectations of the candidate we're seeking We're looking for someone with experience in NDT inspections on railway components, preferably with a focus on wheels, wheel axles, and bogies. It's a plus if you've worked with NDT testing equipment and have a strong understanding of the methods. We're looking for someone who is curious and takes responsibility. You work well independently, but also value collaboration and being part of a team. You are thorough, organized, and enjoy sharing knowledge in an open way. Your expertise and dedication help ensure high quality in our work and develop the maintenance of the future. We're looking for someone with: Experience with NDT testing equipment. Knowledge of NDT inspections on railway components, preferably wheels, wheel axles, and bogies. Strong knowledge of safety management systems. Preferably Level II UT certification.
