Network Technician

Växjö Energi is the people of Växjö's own energy company and part of Växjö Municipality. We deliver electricity, district heating, and district cooling to the Växjö region, and through our subsidiary Wexnet, we also provide broadband to several municipalities in Kronoberg. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to work with new technology alongside driven and curious colleagues? As a network technician in Wexnet's development section, you'll get a varied assignment where no two days are alike, but always within a stable and structured environment. The work spans network communications in a broad sense: replacing outdated equipment with new equipment, so-called lifecycle management, setting up new connections for customers, and ensuring that the correct software is used in our equipment. You have regular contact with customers, suppliers, and contractors, and the work is performed both independently and in groups. Documentation within your own area of responsibility is included. We work primarily with equipment from Cisco. Over time, on-call duty may be part of the role. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on IT or data. If you also have a college or university degree in the field, we see that as a merit. However, we highly value technical interest, drive, and a willingness to develop, regardless of educational background.
